All about Liam Rattray

I'm interested in sustainability, consumer culture, voluntary simplicity, energy, and localism. I believe that a worldwide sustainable society is necessary for the survival of humanity, and that we must liberate ourselves from centralized institutions that no longer hold our best interests to heart. Asides from my academic studies I'm also interested in food, ecology, low-impact development, folk-DIY, literature, and surrealism.

In the past I've taught courses on backyard alternative energy at Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta, GA, where I proudly hail from. I've built biodiesel processors, converted commercial trucks to run on veggie oil, and volunteered at my neighborhood B100 pump.

If you are are interested in "Greening the Good Life", especially if you're a fellow low-income student, send me a private message, or post in the discussion groups. I would love to help you out!
