I’ve been smitten with tunes from Nellie McKay ever since I heard “the dog song” on the morning addition of NPR’s Live in Studio 4A.

In addition, Nellie has also graced the pages of ecozine Sprig to talk about her vegan life with an interview on living beautifully as a very concerned vegan and talented musician.

While we’re up to our lovely ears in luxury eco-products and services, I’d like to dematerialize things for a moment. Painted here is Pandora, with the myth in mind. This post, however, is not about to become a golden art history lesson, or one on fairy tales, I promise. I am writing here to share the wonders of Pandora’s Jukebox. I bring up Pandora in the spirit of the Feelgood Jukebox we created not so long ago.

Music is a passion of mine, I love finding new melodies from tunes on Pandora. Just type in your favorite song or artist and voila a station based on the same genre! The best is it is free, it was not always free, but now it is, and hopefully for good.

I created a Doris Day station for a friend that loves oldies, and a Rosa Passos station for when I feel like traveling to Brazil in my mind.

In the mood for some songs to swoon to this spring?

News is in that the recent Tune In. Turn On. Drop Off! event we mentioned earlier this week was hot! She and Him (composed of actress/singer Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward) performed for the participants at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills.

While green launch parties are great fun, my biomimicry-intrigued self is drawn to The Independent nature article out now called Eco-pop: Songs in the key of life ~ “A new breed of eco-pop artists is making musical ’soundscapes’ that get closer to nature than ever before.” They discuss how scientists are increasingly reaching out to musicians to engage the public in their work.

Music (no matter what the genre) is a great catalyst for innovation, motivation, even social change and environmental consciousness. What are some tunes that are moving you in a good direction?I’d like to share some recent playlists I’ve found to give you a burst of spring fevor:

Eco-fashionistas @ Natural High Lifestyle seem to know what to play.

Jack Johnson is a chill, soothing listen.
