It’s no surprise that the United States Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufactures oppose the American Clean Air and Security Act, but so does Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. Dow Chemical and Ford Motors support it.

A group of American companies has unveiled a plan to drastically cut carbon emissions. Now the companies want the Congress to work out an effective climate bill based on that plan to transform America into a low-carbon economy.

Greg Frenette, a lead engineer at Ford Motors, said last week that it may take at least 20 years before hydrogen-powered cars become widely available because obtaining the fuel is so costly and difficult. But the latest news from the Reuters Global Environment Summit is that these zero emissions cars could become a reality in California very soon as the state plans to build out “Hydrogen Cities” to support the hydrogen car industry.
