A health organization is criticizing celebrity mothers who come out weeks after baby is born looking fabulous. Such dramatic weight loss is unrealistic and even unnecessary, said the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care. The German group is warning new moms not to hold themselves to these hot-bod standards.

Very strenuous exercise programmes soon after childbirth did not lead to extra weight loss. This means that women do not need to have a bad conscience if they take it easy in the busy weeks after giving birth.

Of course, he also stresses the point that women should not “eat for two” during pregnancy.

Project Runway Frontrunner Is Eco-Chic

If you’re like me, you’ve been glued to your set watching Project Runway. Why wouldn’t you be? It’s a reality show where the contestants, though they may be obnoxious like other reality shows, actually showcase legitimate talent (well, mostly legitimate talent) by creating amazing garments under extreme time constraints. Couple that with the snarky nature of at least a few contestants, the lovable Tim Gunn, the adorable Heidi Klum and a revolving door of fashion and celebrity guest judges, and you’ve got must-watch television every week.

Heidi Klum’s Project Runway Eco Episode With Guest Judge Natalie Portman

“The Grass Is Always Greener” was the theme for last night’s Project Runway challenge in which the contestants were given eco-friendly fabrics to create their designs. Natalie Portman sat in as guest judge and it was obvious she doesn’t lie well. Not necessarily a bad thing, but her opinions of some of the designs were obvious by the look on her face (can’t say that I blame her, many of the looks we’re less than fashion-worthy). In the end Suede, who the mainstay judges (Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia) were weary about after last week’s challenge won them over with his tutu dress (pictured). This was not my favorite and perhaps he ran out of time, but why is it so baggy up top?

All in all, I commend them for featuring eco-friendly fabrics on the show and if you just can’t live without one of the designs, you can bid on it here.
