It’s still probably a bit cold for outdoor shows, but it’s not too cold to get planning! Some of the outdoor show needs are similar to the setups for indoor shows. You still need tables or some other surface to showcase your goodies, linens, and some horizontal display solutions. Outdoor festivals tend to have bigger spaces - usually, 10 feet X 10 feet - and you’ll probably have a tent. Here are some ideas for handling an outdoor setup!

It’s so tempting to hit up local big box stores for new display pieces. I’ll admit that it’s even easier sometimes. But where’s the fun in that? Getting your goodies second hand helps you present your wares in a unique, Earth-friendly way! The setup you go for really depends on what sort of show you’re doing. Indoor vendor spaces are often smaller than at outdoor shows. Unless your table is at the end of a row, you probably won’t have much natural vertical space, like you would with a tent. So what are some green ways to showcase your goodies?

We’re right smack in the middle of Fall festival season, and I’ve been sewing up a storm! All that time hunched over the cutting table and sewing machine is definitely taking its toll on my body, and I’m sure I’m not the only crafter that suffers aches and pains after a crafting marathon. Rather than pop a couple of ibuprofen this year, I’m trying to relieve my muscles a little more naturally with yoga poses that target parts of my body that take the most abuse during this time of year.

Whether you’ve just spent hours standing at the ironing board or cross-legged on your sofa, your legs could use a good stretch! Here are some poses that work on the legs, knees, and feet. As with any new exercise, please be cautious and consult your doctor before trying anything too terribly strenuous.

No matter what your craft, it most likely involves some sort of repetitive motion from your hands, which stresses your arms and wrists. By stretching and strengthening these areas, you can relieve soreness and maybe even build your crafty endurance! As with any new exercise, be cautious and consult your doctor before trying anything too terribly strenuous. If you suffer from carpal tunnel, please run these poses by a doctor before you dive in, as some of them do put pressure on your wrists.
