Where is Renewable Energy Going in South Africa?

An almost ten fold growth in revenue from renewable energy is predicted by business research and consulting firm Frost and Sullivan’s. This emerges from their Southern African Renewable Energy Equipment Market analysis, which sees the current renewable industry in South Africa having revenues of only $28.4 million in 2008 but projects a growth to over $250 million by 2015.

I wasn’t certain what most of them did — much less exactly how “green” they really were.

Advertisers do pretty well with sports. In fact advertising has been woven into and is actually a part of the entertainment experience now. But events marking history, events that speak to the core of our humanity rarely provide solid platforms to convincingly reach out to audiences and failed attempts often do more damage than good. However, Target’s simple message to promote volunteering in honor of Martin Luther King Day not only managed to be classy, but it ingeniously captured the spirit of the times.

I love Method cleaning supplies, candles and laundry products, was looking forward to the organic collection designed by Rogan all spring and was thrilled to find ADORABLE baby clothes, crib bumpers and a number of other supplies there in the “eco-friendly” shopping section of their website.

Finally, a mass-merchandiser who get’s it and is offering great looking, organic clothing at convenient prices. I am thrilled to be able to still shop Target for all of the upcoming baby showers I’m attending and have a few sustainable choices on hand.
