We've heard about it for months now. The Sundance Channel is launching a new block of programming called "The Green" on April 17. Each Tuesday night at 9pm you'll be able to tune in to a block of green programming.

The Governator Guest Stars on Green Edition of MTV’s Pimp My Ride

MTV's Pimp My Ride will give a '65 Chevy Impala an eco-makeover, transforming the car into a real green machine. With a little help from the show's crew (Xzibit and Mad Mike), and the guys at G.A.S (Galpin Auto Sports), this beat up classic will get a 800 horsepower diesel engine modified to run on biodiesel.

Discovery Launches Green Television Network

Discovery Communications launches the first 24-hour television network dedicated to green lifestyle programming.

Discovery is getting back to its roots with a return to nature programming and is renewing efforts in "celebrating, preserving and protecting the planet." That push has shown success in Discovery's new series, Planet Earth, which premiered in late March and is pulling in strong numbers.
