Kathy Phillips has an impressive pedigree as ex Vogue Beauty Director, and now International Beauty Director for all Conde Nast Asia Fashion Magazines. It should be no surprise then that her own beauty line, This Works, has attracted a string of accolades and awards (Times Best 100 Beauty Products, Instyle Best Body Oil, Marie Claire Prix D’Excellence… you get the picture) not to mention a cult following. Compelled to find out what all the fuss is about I recently tried the Deep Dry Leg Oil and I have to tell you I’m as hooked as everyone else.

This is probably a little too much information but as a girl who has no cleavage and has always secretly envied well-endowed ladies, when I first heard about Perfect Cleavage I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! However, before you get too excited this is not one of those “we’ll increase your bust size from a 34a to a 34c in 4wks” kinda creams. Sorry girls, if you want that kind of miracle it’s off to boob job land for you. However, if you love what you have and just want to keep your decollete looking gorgeous, this might be the answer. The skin on our neck and chest area is almost as delicate as our faces and is particularly prone to sun damage, however it’s one realm that’s often neglected in our beauty routines.

Named this works because that’s what testers constantly said of the products, this line is described as ‘a survival kit for those suffering modern malaises’. Conceived and created by Kathy Phillips, formerly Health & Beauty Director for Vogue and now International Beauty Director for Conde Nast Asia (think W Magazine, Vogue, Allure etc..), this award winning line has some of the coolest packaging I’ve seen in the beauty industry for a while, not to mention cutting-edge formulation. What really gets me excited though are the all natural formulations developed around aromatherapy principles, their environmentally responsible business practices, knowing that the products are mostly organic using certified and fair trade essential oils, and that the products contain no suspect ingredients.

I’m constantly on a quest to find the most spectacular organic and natural beauty brands at the cutting-edge and forefront of this industry, and I think I just discovered my latest obsession. This rocks!! Yep, This Works.
